mizan is a collection of music considered to be the first songs written together by life partners, moel and nasim. as an extension of our previous collaboration, kopia tv we were tasked with creative directing this project. we knew we wanted to tie a strong narrative element to it as a way to differentiate it from past releases.

mizan can roughly be translated to ‘balance’ or ‘the middle path’. we gravitated towards circles and lines as absolutes in balance, resulting in the bow & arrow motif and our use of sun/moon symbolism.

fascinated by the duo’s music — as i call ‘future-folk’ — i wanted to ground a relationship, an everyday act of balance and reciprocation, relocating it elsewhere, as an extension exemplifying that love can triumph over all. we believe life is an adventure, and it’s best experienced with your tribe.
